Staying with a Canadian family is an excellent way to improve your English. VanWest College ensures safe, comfortable and friendly host families. Our homestay families have worked with us for many years. Homestays are a wonderful way to experience Canadian culture and learn about the surrounding area while being part of a Canadian family.

* The second placement fee of $180 applies when moving to another homestay in the same city (Vancouver or Kelowna).
** Shared room is only available for two students booking together. (Vancouver Only)
Please inquire in advance when requesting a special diet option.
The recommended minimum booking duration for Vancouver homestay is 4 weeks and Kelowna homestay is 8 weeks unless the study duration is less than 4 or 8 weeks.
In any early move-out cases, fees will be refunded with a 4-week advance written notice.

Host Family Application

Host families play a very play an important part of an International Education student’s experience – students will get to experience Canadian culture and learn about the surrounding area while being part of a Canadian family. Please go over the homestay requirements before applying.
